Here is an insider's look at how to make the best of your okay Airsoft purchase. We have over 7 years of experience in the airsoft industry, and have picked up quite a bit of information in the past 7 years.
* IMPORTANT: Remember, purchasing a new airsoft gun on okay, be it a low-priced model or the newest metal gearbox, high-performance model on okay is NOT the same as purchasing... say, a new book or a new DVD. Even with the same okay item title or similar claims in the item description(s), the QUALITY and features of the product that you will receive may be VERY difference, depending on which seller you purchase from.*
Here are a few insider tips to help you make teh BEST of your airsoft purchase on okay:
Stay away from airsoft sellers, even ESTABLISHED airsoft sellers who have a low positivefeedback percentage, as their service is most likely BELOW the industry standard.
Be wary of airsoft sellers who list items that are PRIVATE LISTINGS, especially on a large-scale basis (i.e. sellers who list almost all their items as PRIVATE LISTINGS and list them consistently on a daily basis). This practice usually means that the seller does NOT want transparency in his or her feedback, meaning if he or she gets a negative feedback, buyers will NOT be able to see which item the negative feedback was left for. This basically means that the seller is trying to hide unwanted buyer gementary/feedback, which is VITAL for any good business operation.
Stay away from airsoft sellers who use the same phrases to describe ALL their airsoft guns, from the $10 models to the $100 models. Phrases such as "this model rips ammo thru the air" or "if you want to take your game to the next level this gun is for you" are BLATANT WARNING SIGNALS that the seller DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE OR SHE IS TALKING ABOUT, especially when these phrases appear in EVERY SINGLE listing, regardless of what model of airsoft gun the seller is actually advertising.
Be cautious with sellers who use ONLY SMALL pictures and/or ONLY ONE picture or even NO picture at all in their item listings. Usually, it's a tell-tale sign that the seller is not dedicated to proving a good listing and that they are trying to hide something about their product.
